The cemetary in Ohlsdorf, Hamburg is the biggest park like cemetary in Europe. It is 3,91 square kilometers large and 450 bush and tree species can be observed there. Its ponds and creeks are the home for many birds and with its size it also is the biggest green space of Hamburg. More information can be found on the cemetarys website. The images were taken as a study and test with a loaned Leica M6 with a 35 mm asph. and a 90 mm Summicron lens on high resolution film (SPUR DSX).

The "Haseldorfer Binnenelbe" is an area near the village Haseldorf, west from Hamburg, where old river arms are now behind the dikes and no longer depend on the tides coming in from the north sea. It is a protected nature reserve now and home to many endangered species, especially birds. In this study I tried to capture the flatness and monotony of the landscape, where the dikes are the highest elevation of the landscape around. The images were taken with a Leica M6 and a 35 mm asph. and a 90 mm Summicron on high resolution film.

From the Stoneage
These images are from a trip into the Bernesian Alps around the Wildstrubel range I had around 1990 - I don't know the exact year anymore. They all were taken with a Mamiya Press and a Mamiya Sekor 100 mm f 3.5. After all I believe the images were worth carrying up the bulk to almost 3000 m.
