I traded my whole Mamiya Press kit with several bodies, the complete lens lineup including the fantastic 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm F2.8 and all the others together with a bunch of magazines, the full extension tube set and … and … and.

I traded it for a Mamiya 7 II with the 80 mm lens and I paid a bit additional to get the 150 mm lens too. And in the meantime I have the 43 mm super wide angle as well.

It was a tough decision. I had put a lot of heart-blood into this system with all these repairs of shutters and chasing for the good lenses. But: My arthrotic hip already says “Thanks! I feel better now”.

The bulk has dropped significantly and I expect a better image quality as well.

Stellar glass!

Less pain!

Relieved sigh … aaaahhhhh …

This was a sort of an impulse buy. I had done some research about this type of camera and knew I wanted one – 6×9 cm negatives in a pocketable format! Then I saw it in a photo shop, abused as a decoration. I couldn’t resist. 50 € and an instant later it was mine. I had to do some belly surgery to it and now the times are perfect, except the 1/250 which still is too slow with 1/125 but so what – at least its usable now. Maybe I’ll do some better cleanup of the shutter later.

So here it is: My new point-and-shoot-camera …

No exposure measurement.

No autofocus or distance measurement.

60×90 mm sensor.

Battery life: Unlimited.

Plain fun!

What amazes me so much is what can be done with a little pocket camera, a Canon Powershot S95 in this case. At f2.0 the macro really gives a great bokeh.
